Omron CP2E or Mitsubishi FX5U for a small retrofit
I/O count, motion needs, spares availability in Perak, and what your technicians already know how to fault-find.
On paper both handle a 30-to-60 I/O retrofit comfortably. The decision usually comes down to what else is in the plant and what your team can troubleshoot at 2 a.m. without calling anyone.
The FX5U has the stronger built-in positioning story; the CP2E tends to win on price and local stock. If the site already runs one brand of HMI, match it and save the training.
Whichever you pick, insist on the program listing and a backup on site before the commissioning team leaves.
