What ST and CIDB registration actually mean
A plain reading of the grades and competencies your electrical contractor should hold before touching your switchgear.
CIDB grade caps the contract value and the categories a contractor may take on; the Suruhanjaya Tenaga side governs who is legally competent to work on and switch your installation.
For most factory work you want to see the contractor registration plus a named chargeman with the right competency for your supply voltage and connected load.
Ask for the certificates by number, and check that the chargeman named is actually the person attending.
